MIND Directory 2010
Introduction
People who experience mental health problems have the same basic needs as anyone else - decent housing, enough money
to live on, a job, and to be part of the community they live in. In addition they need access to good quality
assessment and treatment when required. We have therefore included information in the Directory to reflect all
of these needs.
We have tried to be as accurate as possible but information goes out of date very quickly e.g. opening times of
organisations change, projects lose funding and close, others move premises. We would therefore advise you to
check that the details of any organisation you may wish to recommend or use are still the same.
The entire Directory will be updated annually. However, changes will be made on our database on an ongoing
basis. All Directories will include an 'insert' of amendments when required. We hope that you find the
Directory useful and easy to use. We are interested in views on how to improve the Directory, so please let us
know what you think.
How to use the Directory
The directory has been divided into sections, each section is listed below.
There is also an
alphabetical index.
N.B. We are unable to take responsibility for the quality of the services in this Directory. Descriptions of
organisations and groups have come from the agencies themselves. Please advise us in writing of any discrepancies
you may identify so we can include them in our next issue.
